14A - Halfway Reflection
- Some behaviors that I have developed to keep up with the requirements of this course are time management and striving to do the best that I can to earn a good grade in this class. There are two assignments due every Friday and peer reviews due every Monday, so I try to do one assignment by Wednesday and the other one by Friday afternoon. I then complete the peer reviews Monday morning every week. One thing I've realized since being at UF and taking this course is that it is hard to balance your time to be able to complete all of the work for every course you are enrolled in, so time management has been huge for me this semester. I really enjoy how this class is set up to have the all of the assignments due on the same day every week. I believe it helps us all stay on schedule.
- Unfortunately, I felt like giving up several times in this course. Especially when picking an opportunity we will have to write about for the rest of the semester. I wanted to pick an opportunity that really had meaning to me, but it is hard to think of something you will need to keep talking about for weeks on end. I doubted myself and thought I had picked an opportunity that would be tough to write about, but I found it really is not tough at all. One thing that really kept me going was the peer reviews. Seeing what my classmates thought about my opportunity has really given me some new perspective on my subject, it pushed me to want to learn more and educate more people on the topic I have chosen for my opportunity.
- I believe I have developed a tenacious attitude during these past two months of school because just two months ago I got accepted in to the University of Florida. It has always been a dream of mine to attend this University and I am striving to do the absolute best I can to earn my business degree. This class has definitely helped give me this tenacious attitude because I have felt like giving up on it, but I pushed through it and feel very determined to earn the best grade I can.
- Some tips I would give to students is to remember that you're in this class, at UF, to earn your degree. It is all in the grand scheme of things, at the end of your time in this course and at UF you will then move on to the real world. You can potentially land your dream job at the end of all of this, and that's the most important part! You're here to learn and show people what you can do, so why not put in the effort to do your best? What I have learned is that developing the tenacious mindset is all about YOU. Believe in yourself and you can accomplish all you wish to, and you will succeed if you push yourself to never give up!
